The Fundamental Difference between countries like Japan, Germany from India is due to their institutional building. After hearing some of Sridhar Vembu's podcasts and interviews, I could resonate with what I was thinking earlier. Our Country has enough population to build and manufacture products for ourselves, but we lack skilled labour. Most of our population lack the technical know-how of products, to build them from scratch. We still talk about Germany cars and Sonys Camera(Japan) because those products are worthit considering the performance or durability. One reason might be the lack of funds and encouragement to try out building things from scratch. The live example is Apple for its M1 chip. After intel turning down their request for producing specific chip for iPhones they heavily spent their earnings in R&D. Resulting in one of the finest chips they have made which are better than the ones which work on laptops. It took them quite few years but it was worth it. Since the population of our country is yet to increase and the use of hardware is going to skyrocket. We need great Entreprenuers and Govt support to build for the new India.
