He is a tech CEO and founder of Zoho Corp who operates companies even in San Francisco from his village. We can learn a lot from his grounded nature. I was blown away after watching his talk at IIT (link attached below). Then I started to dig more about Zoho and in my knowledge it is the biggest software company in India. They have created large variety of products , I can say that it is a desi Microsoft. I remember him saying that they don't use Microsoft products in their company, even for docs or presentations they have their own software. I was awestruck as the thought itself of creating all those from scratch is wonderful. His is also one of my favorite first principle thinker, who has great views on nation building, my Institutional Building was highly inspired from his videos.
He often talks about Japan and Germany for the kind of products they build and what India lacks is this Hardware manufacturing. Not only this but he also started Zoho schools where they directly take and train 12th passed students to give them real world experience by indeed paying the 10K stipend. It is headed by Rajendran Dandapani, who is also a wonderful person. Another amazing thing is Zoho was completely bootstrapped, not a single penny of investor funding. The founder of Freshdesk , a billion dollar company was once an employee of Zoho.
I feel our country needs many more CEO's like him.
